A Prayer of Thanksgiving
1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods!
For His mercy endures forever.
3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords!
For His mercy endures forever:
4 To Him who alone does great wonders,
For His mercy endures forever;
5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens,
For His mercy endures forever;
6 To Him who laid out the earth above the waters,
For His mercy endures forever;
7 To Him who made great lights,
For His mercy endures forever
8 The sun to rule by day,
For His mercy endures forever;
9 The moon and stars to rule by night,
For His mercy endures forever.
We give thanks to You LORD because…
1. You chose us when You planned creation (Ephesians 1:11-12)
2. You are our provider and You meet all our needs (Matthew 6:31-33)
3. You know when we sit down and when we rise up (Psalm 139:2)
4. You knew us even before we were conceived (Jeremiah 1:4-5)
5. We were not a mistake (Psalm 139:15-16)
6. You are the perfect Father (Matthew 5:48)
7. Your plan for our future has always been filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11)
8. You love us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3)
9. You quiet us with Your love… and You rejoice over us with singing (Zephaniah 3:17)
10. You desire to establish us with all Your heart and all Your soul (Jeremiah 32:41)
11. You want to show us great and marvelous things (Jeremiah 33:3)
12. If we seek You with all our hearts, we will find You (Deuteronomy 4:29)
13. If we delight in You, You will give us the desires of our hearts (Psalm 37:3), Because You gave us those desires (Philippians 2:13).
14. As a shepherd carries a lamb, You have carried us close to Your heart (Isaiah 40:11)
15. One day You will wipe away every tear from our eyes (Revelation 21:3-4)
16. And You’ll take away all the pain we have suffered on this earth(Revelation 21:4)
17. You are our Father and You love us even as You love Your Son, Jesus (John 17:23) For in Jesus, Your love for us is revealed (John 17:26)
18. And Jesus came to demonstrate that our Father is for us, not against us. (Romans 8:31)
19. Your Son, Jesus, died for us so that we could be with You for eternity (John 3:16)
20. Jesus’ death was the ultimate expression of Your love for us(1 John 4:10)
21. Jesus is waiting for us (Luke 15:11-32)
22. Jesus has prepared a home for us (John 14:3)
23. Jesus will come again to take us home (John 14:3)
24. If we ask, Jesus will increase our faith and love (Rev 3:18)
25. If we ask, Jesus will clothe us in His righteousness (Rev 3:18)
26. If we ask, Jesus will give us Spiritual Discernment (Rev 3:18)
27. You are love (1 John 4:8)
